Tyrendarra FNC is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all players, officials, volunteers, and supporters. Our policies reflect these values and align with AFL and Netball Victoria requirements. Several of them are currently being written. We are very excited about the writing process.
All members, players, officials, and volunteers will be required to adhere to the club's Code of Conduct, which will set out expected standards of behaviour on and off the field. We have asked someone to write it. We will let you know when it is ready. We are very excited about it.
The club has had a Child Safety Policy in place for approximately one year. We feel this is important context. The policy sets out a number of clear commitments to child safety which we are now actively in the process of honouring. We are proud of having had the policy. We are excited about the next phase, which is following it. Our Vice President is the designated Child Safety Officer, a role whose mandate we are now more specifically defining, as the policy has always envisioned. We are also conducting a review into whether Working with Children Checks should be required. We acknowledge the policy may already address this. We will check. We are leaning towards yes.
We are committed to a culture free of harassment, discrimination, and bullying. All complaints are taken seriously and handled with the appropriate level of deliberation, expert consultation, and parental input before a conclusion is reached.
Members are expected to represent the club with respect and professionalism on social media. Our policy outlines expectations for online conduct as it relates to club activities.
